Kirschen Two Cherries Straight Carving Gouge – Sweep 9 | Series 3109
The Kirschen Two Cherries Series 3109 straight carving gouge is a professional woodcarving tool with a straight shank and a strongly concave No. 9 sweep. Its cutting-edge geometry is suited to pronounced hollow cuts, curved channels and sculptural transitions in wood.
Sweep 9 has a tighter transverse curve than sweeps 7 and 8. “Straight” describes the blade along its length, while the sweep number describes the curvature across the cutting edge. A choice of widths makes the series useful for both fine details and larger carved recesses.
