Kirschen Two Cherries Straight Carving Gouge – Sweep 11 | Series 3111
The Kirschen Two Cherries Series 3111 straight carving gouge is a professional tool for wood carving and relief sculpture. Its longitudinally straight blade has a No. 11 sweep with a very deep, almost U-shaped cross-section, making it suitable for sharply defined grooves, deep flutes and controlled local hollowing.
Compared with sweep No. 10, the No. 11 cutting profile is more tightly curved. “Straight” describes the lengthwise shape of the blade, while the sweep number defines the cross-sectional curvature of the cutting edge. Sixteen cutting widths allow users to choose between fine detail work and larger carved recesses.
