Kirschen Two Cherries Bent Carving Gouge – Sweep 7 | Series 3116
The Kirschen Two Cherries Series 3116 bent carving gouge is a professional woodcarving tool combining a longitudinally curved blade with a concave No. 7 sweep. It is designed for shaping recesses, sculptural hollows and areas that are difficult to reach with a straight gouge.
Unlike a straight carving gouge, the bent blade helps position the cutting edge within recessed or concave work without the handle interfering as readily. Sweep 7 describes the cross-sectional curve of the edge; “bent” refers to the lengthwise curve of the blade.
